MCR are seeking a competent HV operator with broad knowlege of electrical infrastructure in critical operational environments
Your key responsibility will be to manage Electrical Systems, both high and low voltage.
Responsibilities:
- Acting as a qualified high-voltage (HV) operator and helping to train and supervise junior technicians
- Reviewing electrical switching procedures
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant local regulations and standards related to HV systems.
- Supporting commissioning
- Creating inspection, maintenance, and safety schedules.
- Overseeing the maintenance and inspection of the HV and other electrical infrastructure in the data centres
- Experience as a high-voltage operator
- Electrical trade qualifications or a related background, ideally with knowledge of low-voltage switchgear and power generation.
- Strong technical understanding of high-voltage systems, including switchgear, cabling, and transformers.
- Experience of managing electrical equipment in operational environments
- Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be an Australian citizen or eligible for appropriate security clearance.
